Whole-house HDTV and DVD

A FutureWired home incorporates a comprehensive cabling network which enables you to add your preferred TV sources and distribute them all over the house. You can, for example, network one or more SkyHD boxes (or Freesat / cable TV boxes) together with Freeview so that you can watch any of these sources in any room.

Because the cabling is networked from a central panel, all sources can be accessed independently. And by using 'magic eyes' you can also control the source from any room. There are options, too, for distributing DVD (including Bluray or a central DVD 'jukebox') throughout your home - even to the bathroom!

The right cabling (including HDMI for local HD sources) is also included to the most appropriate wall-mounting positions so you don't need to worry about digging holes in walls to bury cables. It's all in place for your preferred equipment and mounting options to be added whenever you wish, now or in the future.

Home Cinema

Today's High Definition projectors deliver a jaw-dropping Home Cinema experience and it's easy to install the equipment discreetly into the modern home environment. Your FutureWired home includes all the right HD audio-visual cables in the lounge as standard so you can enjoy movies, TV, games consoles and more on the Big Screen (projection or flat-screenTV) together with stunning surround-sound.

For the ultimate Home Cinema experience we can incorporate one of the latest generation 3D HD projectors. It's your choice - we just add the right Home Cinema equipment to suit your budget.

If you're planning your own refurbishment or new-build project we can, of course, pre-install the cabling in a dedicated Home Cinema room or games room. For a bespoke project we can install the remote control projection screen and the projector itself into the ceiling void; the latter using a remote control lift. In this way the projector and screen are completely hidden from view when not in use.

Whole-house digital music

Whole-house music is sheer bliss for any music-lover. It's inexpensive, easy to use and easy to expand. You can listen to your choice of music in one room while others listen to their own choices elsewhere in the home. Each zone is independently controlled from within each room and each can access any source that's networked with the centralised 'hub'. Sources can include DAB radio, CD, Ipod (etc), Sky, internet and your PC/laptop (or music server).

We can install wall-mounted, in-wall or in-ceiling speakers according to your preference (the speaker cables in a FutureWired home are pre-installed with these choices in mind) and waterproof speakers in the bathroom. Secure, assured data network

Our pre-installed cable network supports broadband speeds way beyond today's capabilities and offers safe, secure and assured whole-house internet access (wired and wireless). A secure cable network is 100% reliable and flexible, providing fixed access points as well as boosted wireless capability for the highest quality wireless connection anywhere in the home and garden.

Your secure network also enables crystal clear digital wireless telephone reception for as many handsets as you need. It also enables integration of your home security system for improved safety and peace of mind. Your FutureWired home includes the wiring network necessary for linking a burglar alarm system, CCTV and lighting. You can view CCTV images on your TVs or PC, which is especially useful for door-entry control.

Intelligent lighting

Intelligent lighting has many facets. It allows you to create 'moods' for different zones in your home, it saves energy, it offers convenience and ease-of-use, and it enhances home security. And in a FutureWired home it is available at a surprisingly modest price.

The mood lighting aspect of an intelligent lighting system offers far more than a simple dimming facility. You can quickly and easily programme lighting patterns in different rooms and groups of rooms to create your desired lighting level (and even colours) at the touch of a single button (fixed or remote control). For example, for the lounge you might have one setting for watching regular TV, another setting for a dinner party, another to focus lighting on a specific area of the room whilst reading and yet another to only provide 'thoroughfare' lighting whilst watching a movie.

The system provides added convenience during the night. For example, you can include sensors to automatically turn lights on and off when you enter and exit a room and you can set up a pattern of subdued lighting to light the way to the toilet without disturbing others. It also offers reassurance with an instant 'all on' capability which can be linked to a security or smoke alarm, and a 'welcome home' scenario which you can activate by remote control from outside the property (also useful when linked with external lighting and an electronically-controlled garage door, for example). For added security the system can also mimic your regular night-time routine while you're away to give a very credible impression that the home is, in fact, occupied. You can even control the system from your iPhone!

You'll find that you benefit from lower energy bills too. The one-touch 'all off' facility makes sure that no lights are accidentally left burning while you're out and sensors in specific locations (especially hallways) ensure that lights are not left on unnecessarily. Additionally, because the system encourages you to evaluate your actual lighting needs whilst setting specific moods, you'll find that you eliminate wasted energy on a day-to-day basis.
